THE COMIC IS FORESTED TO FAIL IN THE MARKET

The increasingly critical comics lovers today make Marvel have to fight hard to create new ideas. And one of them came from the editor of Sana Amanat, when she told her colleague about her life as a Muslim woman, Stephen Wacker, to produce a unique concept which later attracted comic writer G. Willow Wilson's interest. Despite having 3 factors that made it certain to fail in the market according to the trend of the comic industry at that time – new characters, female gender, coming from minorities – they started a series starring Kamala Khan as Ms. Latest Marvels.

And apparently, the result turned 180 degrees because the figure actually received a warm welcome from comic lovers. Even former American President Barack Obama is mentioned as a fan of the superheroine! The comic series also received the prestigious Hugo Awards in 2015 for the category “Best Graphic Story.”

COMING FROM THE INHUMAN RACE

Since childhood, Kamala Khan is known to be very fond of Marvel superheroes, and often dreams of becoming one of them – especially Carol Danvers as her idol. His dream comes true after one night, he is exposed to the Terrigen Mist from the Terrigen Bomb detonated by Black Bolt, which awakens superpowers within him as a polymorph. Apparently, it happened because he had Inhuman genes in his body, a race of super-powered humans created from modified Kree technology.

CHAMPIONS FOUNDER

Disappointed to witness the discord among the Avengers without considering the consequences for ordinary people, especially in the Civil War II story arc, Kamala and her two friends - Spider-Man (Miles Morales) and Nova (Sam Alexander) - decided to leave the team. Trying to restore public trust in superheroes, they also formed a team together with Hulk/Brawn (Amadeus Cho) and Viv Vision. After completing their first mission, which is to help girls who are victims of human trafficking, as well as Kamala's speech about her team that went viral on the internet, people also called them Champions.

NOT THE FIRST MARVEL MUSLIM SUPERHERO

Kamala also brought him back to Earth because the costume was able to increase his strength.
