New Morbius Movie Poster Starring Jared Leto

 In addition to presenting several new announcements at CCXP Worlds 2021, Sony Pictures also released a new poster for Morbius. The film stars Jared Leto as the sinister half-vampire antihero who will open the next chapter in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, a cinematic universe connected to Tom Hardy's Venom and possibly the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As we all know, the latest trailer for Morbius refers to several iterations of Spider-Man in theaters, with links to events that took place in Tom Holland's world of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Andrew Garfield in the short franchise The Amazing Spider-Man. In addition, the trailer has a unique easter-egg by showing a painting of Tobey Maguire's version of the Spider-Man costume and mentioning Venom's name, this makes fans wonder what is really going on behind it all.



The film is slated to hit theaters on January 28, 2022 which will see it "fight" with the new Scream films, Hotel Transylvania: Transformia, and The 355 in the same month.

Morbius will star Jared Leto along with Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Loxias Crown, Adria Arjona (Good Omens, Pacific Rim: Uprising) as Martine Bancroft, Jared Harris (The Crown) as Morbius' mentor, and Tyrese Gibson (Fast and the Crown). Furious) as an FBI agent.

Based on the Marvel comics, this film is directed by Daniel Espinosa (Life, Safe House) with a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold, Gods of Egypt). The film itself will be horror-themed and tells the story of a scientist who tries to find a cure for a rare disease that is in his blood. But inadvertently he turned into a Vampire who then "devoured" the criminals.

In the comics, Morbius tells of a scientist named Michael Morbius who is looking for a cure for a rare blood disease, but in the process he has an accident and undergoes the process of becoming a vampire. He becomes bloodthirsty and has superhuman powers. Even so the victims who are bitten do not become vampires like what if they were bitten or sucked by the real vampire's blood. This character first appeared in the comic “Amazing Spider-Man” #101 (1971). In the comics, he has been the enemy of Spider-Man several times even though in the end he became an anti-hero.
