6 Marvel Superheroes With Male and Female Versions

The Marvel Cinematic Universe or MCU is the most successful franchise that presents a variety of superheroes. Not only from Adam, some of their super heroes are female versions.


This is a form of Marvel's support for gender equality. Female superheroes are introduced in this fourth phase. No less cool, the superhero introduced by Marvel is a female version of a superhero that has previously been made a male version. Who are they? Here's a summary:


1. Captain America and Captain Marvel


The first superhero in the Avengers is Captain America. Captain America is described as the first superhero in the Avengers. The stout and sturdy Captain America named Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evan, managed to make the audience fall in love.

Well, in the series What If (2021) the recipient of the serum is not Steve Rogers, but Shannon Carter. This female version of Captain America is also in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Madness, under the name Captain Marvel. He is able to fly without the aid of tools, fly at the speed of light, and manipulate gravity.


2. Ant Man and The Wasp


Two female and male versions of Marvel superheroes appear together in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). Ant-Man is a superhero who can turn into as small as an ant and a giant. The female version is called The Wasp aka Hope, which has abilities similar to Ant-Man. But the Wasp couldn't turn himself into a giant. Although he also has armor that allows him to turn into a small one. The Wasp also has wings behind its armor.


3. Thor and Mighty Thor


The god of thunder with a magic hammer or Mjolnir is known for his great strength. Marvel displays a masculine figure in Thor who is stout. However, in his latest film, Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), Jane Foster, Thor's lover, turns into a female version of Thor with no less great power. Jane Foster's character after having Thor-like powers was named Mighty Thor.


4. Hawkeye and Kate Bishop


Clint Barton or Hawkeye is a Marvel superhero without superpowers. Apart from that, he doesn't have any sophisticated armor like other heroes, but his archery skills are very accurate and great. Hawkeye finally found his successor through the series Hawkeye (2021), he is Kate Bishop.

Because she learned directly from Clint Barton, Kate Bishop is believed to be Hawkeye's successor in Young Avengers. Although not officially mentioned as the female version of Hawkeye, many feel that Kate's abilities will be as great as the teacher's.


5. Iron Man and Pepper Potts


Tony Stark who became Iron Man is a superhero who has many successors. Such as Morgan Stark, Iron Lad, Ironhearts, Harley Keener, War Machine, also Pepper Potts.

However, the female version of Iron Man can be seen in Pepper Potts. Pepper Potts appears in Avengers: Endgame (2019). He is also involved in the Armor Rescue effort.


6. Hulk and She Hulk


The Hulk character, played by Mark Ruffalo, is one of The Original Six still appearing in the Marvel franchise. Recently, this green superhero has appeared in a new series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022). He is present as Jennifer Walters' cousin, both of whom are involved in an accident until Bruce's blood enters Jennifer's body. Jennifer also turned into She-Hulk, which is the female version of the Hulk.
