Bill Skarsgard to Play Eric Draven in The Crow
Finally, fans got some news about their long-awaited The Crow reboot. According to a report from Deadline, a new director and main star for this project have been found. They report that Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman, Ghost in the Shell) has been set to direct the new concept The Crow with a script from Oscar-nominated Zach Baylin (King Richard). Bill Skarsgard (It: Part One & Two, Castle Rock) will play Eric Draven, a role originally played by Brandon Lee.
Skarsgard gained worldwide recognition through his role as an evil clown in the horror film IT which was released in 2017. He will reprise the role in the upcoming sequel IT Chapter Two. Skarsgard has also been involved in Atomic Blonde, Assassination Nation, Deadpool 2 and Villains. "The Crow is beautiful, dark, poetic, and at times disturbing," Sanders said in a statement. “This is a story of love, loss, sadness and revenge. It's a great honor to revisit James O'Barr's iconic comic strip and reimagine The Crow as the voice of foreboding today."
The story of The Crow is based on the graphic novel by James O'Barr. And this new project will be produced by Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks, and Edward R. Pressman. The project is a collaboration between production company Hassell Free Productions, Electric Shadow Company, Davis Films, and Edward R. Pressman Film Corporation, in collaboration with 30WEST.

The Crow tells the story of a man named Eric Draven who is resurrected by a supernatural crow and takes revenge for the death of his lover and himself. The film The Crow in 1994, starring Brandon Lee, was quite successful even though it was colored by Brandon's accidental death while shooting this film.
There have been attempts over the years to get a new reboot of The Crow. Different names have been circulating as potential actors to play Eric Draven, including Luke Evans, Jack Huston, and Norman Reedus. In 2016, the project appeared to be garnering widespread attention with the joining of director Corin Hardy, who was planning to cast Aquaman star Jason Momoa in the lead. While the two seemed very excited about the project, the reboot fell through with both announcing their exit from the project in 2018.
Dolph Lundgren to Star in Movie The Best Man
Dolph Lundgren has been quite busy lately with various big projects that are quite interesting. In addition to being involved in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Expendables 4, Lundgren is now rumored to be joining Legally Blonde and Zombieland: Double Tap star Luke Wilson in the action film The Best Man. The project also stars Scout Taylor-Compton, Scott Martin, Brendan Fehr, and Nicky Whelan. And through this film, Lundgren will reunite with Acceleration director, Daniel Zirilli, and the script for this film is written by C. Alec Rossel from a story created by Zirilli himself.
Even though Lundgren is now in his 60s, the actor has been pretty busy with being involved with a plethora of films from big screen blockbusters to more modest voice acting and limited releases. This year he will return to the Expendables franchise and voice Svengeance in Minions: The Rise of Gru – which has been delayed for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic – as well as next year's Aquaman sequel. He will also be releasing a documentary about himself, Dolph. The Best Man will be his third film to be released in 2023.

The plot and story of The Best Man will revolve around a wedding at a remote resort that is attacked by a group of mercenaries. This results in the guests and participants of the wedding party having to confront the terrorist group in order to save a group of hostages. It basically sounds similar to the plots of Lundgren's past films, and in the end, that's the selling point of the films.
Dolph Lundgren is one of those stars who delivers exactly what audiences expect, which means lots of explosions, gunfire, hostage negotiations, and a healthy dose of male testosterone. In addition to appearing in a number of low-budget films, Lundgren will reprise his role as Gunner Jensen in The Expendables 4 alongside Sylvester Stallone, and Jason Statham. After eight years of production, some fans of the action franchise are starting to wonder if they will be able to watch the film due to the Covid pandemic. However, filming already took place in September of last year, and while no release date has yet been set, The Expendables 4 is expected to arrive later this year.
