Finally Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 From Marvel Studios Coming Soon

Marvel Studios' "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise has brought to life some of the most beloved and unknown characters in Marvel's cosmic mythos. However, these characters turn into instant fan favorites when they appear on screen.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" features Mantis becoming an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while characters like Stakar Ogord, Charlie-27, Martinex, and Aleta Ogord appear in already classic post-credits scenes. Turns out, writer/director James Gunn had an idea for another Marvel character in the film, but it didn't appear on screen in the end.

After several Marvel fans told Gunn that they wanted to see him involved in a Darkhawk solo film for Marvel, the filmmaker revealed that he actually has plans to bring in Darkhawk in "Guardians Vol. 2". Gunn didn't provide major details, but he did reply and said Darkhawk was "almost" included in a second Guardians film.

Gunn does have a knack for making underappreciated comic book characters become widely loved by moviegoers everywhere. Rocket Raccoon for example, which is more popular than ever thanks to the Guardians movie. Likewise in the DC project. Gunn's work with Warner Bros. and DC have turned Peacemaker into one of the most popular antiheroes.

Not enough, Nebula is another character who has gained new popularity under Gunn's leadership. Played by Karen Gillan, Thanos' daughter is a huge favorite among fans.

"I really liked my character. I was obsessed with him. To be honest, I was fascinated." Gillan told io9. "I think that's very lucky. It's like a gift that keeps being given because he started out as a villain and I was given the opportunity to really show his perspective and point of view on things."
