"Top Gun: Maverick" Review, Tom Cruise's Newest Film That Airs April 24, 2022
The following is a review of "Top Gun: Maverick", Tom Cruise's latest film which has been in theaters since yesterday (24/5). "Top Gun: Maverick" is the second after the first film Top Gun (1986) which also starred Tom Cruise. Reported by newsmovieriald.blogspot.com from the imdb.com page, Top Gun Maverick has achieved a rating of 8.6/10 when this article was written.
The plot of the film begins with the fact that the United States is facing an enemy who is currently developing weapons of mass destruction for unknown reasons.
This film is seen to miss details that leave 'holes' in the plot, and prevent the audience from thinking critically about the history of US military intervention.

In each section, the film tries to highlight contemporary contrasts and Maverick's 'old school' habits, in the sense of supporting traditional elements more than innovation. "The future is coming, but you're not in it," says Maverick.
When Maverick is told that his test program will soon be discontinued and replaced with a drone, he instead boards an airplane to prove he can still beat any robot.
The film's metaphorical ambitions become clearer when Maverick arrives at Top Gun to find that none of the younger members has the right balance of skill and determination to lead the mission.
Among these young pilots is Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of Maverick's former flying partner, Goose, who died in the war. As a result, Maverick was recruited as squadron leader, and the entire burden of the mission fell on his shoulders.
The safety of the world, and any suspense that builds up in the film so depends on Cruise's abilities, knowledge and most importantly survival.
The importance of Cruise's role in this film is no longer a surprise. Viewers can make accurate assumptions about the direction of this film given the selection of famous actors and directors.
With his role as Maverick, Cruise was able to prove his value with regard to cinema within two hours of the film being screened.

Apart from being a source of charm and charisma, Cruise is still able to compete with younger actors and drive the film industry. The power of a star like Tom Cruise cannot be doubted.
Despite the public outcry and controversies, Cruise never dies, he has continued to appear at least every year since 2008. Nostalgic filmmaking, however, has become increasingly popular in recent years.
But strange for some Top Gun fans, because Meg Ryan, who played Rooster's mother, and Kelly McGillis (Maverick co-star in the previous film), did not return in this film.

Maverick instead shows his interest in Penny, played by Jennifer Connelly, who unfortunately stepped down as a supporting actor.
These two elements are lacking and cause concern in the world of filmmaking that is ideal according to Cruise's values. “Do we agree with men who get older but still star in movies, but not with women?”
That question will be a tough one for Tom Cruise and the producers of “Maverick” when it hits theaters in the United States.
