Actor Chris Evans Becomes a Psychotic Villain in Netflix's "The Gray Man"

Actor Chris Evans is very familiarly known for his figure as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Evans, who plays Steve Rodgers, or Captain America, is a central part of the storyline in the MCU.

He originally appeared in "Captain America: The First Avenger" in 2011 before completing two other films and four Avengers films. Now Evans is preparing to release another iconic role, Buzz Lightyear in Pixar's "Lightyear".

The film tells the story of the real-life astronaut that forms the basis of the action figures from Toy Story, which hits theaters on June 17. During a press tour for his upcoming film, he spoke with Comic Book about a possible return to the MCU.

After the release of "Avengers: Endgame", fans speculated whether they would see Steve Rogers in another hero-focused film returning the Infinity Stones, which took place off-screen in the last Avengers film. Evans was intrigued by the idea, though he wasn't sure if he would actually do it.

"I think it's something people want to see," he said at first. "I don't want to let anyone down, but it's hard to... That's a very good thing and I'm very happy with it. It was very valuable to me."

While he didn't completely rule out a return as Captain America, it seems the script would have to be nearly perfect to get Evans back. Earlier last year, Deadline reported that Evans was expected to return as Captain America in an unknown project.

But since then, no more news has been heard. "It had to be perfect. It would be scary to rock something that, again, I really care about. That role means a lot to me. So, to revisit it, it's going to be a tough one," he continued.

Meanwhile, Evans will also be the psychotic villain in Netflix's "The Gray Man." He starred in the film alongside Ryan Gosling and Ana de Armas.
