Chris Evans Comments About Anthony Mackie Who Will Play Captain America in "Captain America 4" Movie

In the near future, Anthony Mackie will take over the role of Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe from his predecessor, Chris Evans in "Captain America 4". Thanks to the events of "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier," Mackie's Sam Wilson is already wearing stars and stripes, and Evans wants to see more of the story with his successor.

When talking to Yahoo! The Marvel alum says that Mackie is the right person for the role. Personally, Evans even felt very proud of Mackie. Even further, if perhaps the "Knives Out" actor would cry for his role, it's not because he lost it but because of how it gave him unforgettable memories.

"There's nothing better to do. I mean he honestly did it fairly," Evans said. "I'm so proud of him. I can't wait to see what they do in the future with it. But if there are any tears (about the role), it's just for the sweet memories I have."

There is currently no official date set for "Captain America 4" by Marvel Studios. "Captain America 4" is currently in active development with Nate Moore co-producing the film. Moore also previously talked about the new Captain America. To him, Sam Wilson is Sam Wilson, and he definitely has his own distinct character and is not the same as his predecessors.

"I don't think he's Steve Rogers and I think that's a good thing," Moore previously said on ComicBook's Phase Zero podcast. "Because to me this new Cap is Rocky. He will be the underdog in any situation. He's not a super soldier. He's not yet a hundred years old."

Meanwhile, recently, Evans talked about the possibility of returning to play Captain America in the future. As is known, Evans has starred in other films such as "Knives Out" and acted as the antagonist. Then in "The Gray Man", he also played a villain against Ryan Gosling.
