Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jake Gyllenhaa Finally Team Up Again On Their Newest Film Project

Not a few Hollywood artists who are involved in the world of entertainment with family members. Like sisters Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jake Gyllenhaal who are both in the film industry.

Jake is currently reportedly working on a secret project with his older sister, Maggie. Previously, these brothers had worked together in the past. They played brother and sister in 2001's "Donnie Darko", and appeared together in two of their father Stephen's films, 1993's "A Dangerous Woman" and 1998's "Homegrown".

While talking to InStyle about his new partnership with his new Prada, Jake, 41, revealed that he was working with Maggie, 44, on something. Being able to collaborate with his brother, Jake felt very happy. Jake said he really enjoyed the project because it was there he acted on the creative team.

"We're actually talking about him now more than ever, and I would love to work with him," Jake said. "We're working on something right now, just creatively, not as actors, which I really enjoy."

However, Jake was reluctant to tell more about what project he was working on. He praised his brother, who he thought was an outstanding director. Maggie made her directorial debut in 2021 with "The Lost Daughter," which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

"I don't think I can say it yet," he continued. "But he's an amazing writer, and he's an amazing filmmaker, and I've known that for a long time. And now the world knows it."

Jake admitted that he would be very happy if he could star in his brother's film. "I'd love to work with him. I'd love to act in one of his films or wherever he needs me," said Jake.

Because, since the two of them were small, they were already used to working with Jake as Maggie's assistant. "Or somehow he needs me, so I will continue to be that way. I am his younger brother, and if someone has an older brother they understand what I mean."

"Gambit" Actress Lea Seydoux's latest film praised for the quality of the script

"Crimes of the Future" actress Lea Seydoux recently provided a new insight into the unfinished film "Gambit". The long-running "Gambit" remains one of the most interesting comic book film projects of all time.

Seydoux himself has been appointed as the female lead in the film. As if to add intrigue to what happened, in an interview with Indiewire, Seydoux praised the quality of the script for "Gambit" before describing the project as a comedy.

"The scenario is very good," he said. "There are some funny parts in it, but they want to make more comedy."

Seydoux will reportedly be playing the Marvel character Bella Donna Boudreaux, created by Jim Lee and Scott Lobdell. A childhood friend of Gambit AKA Remy LeBeau, Bella Donna Boudreaux hails from a rival gang of Thieves and Murderers in New Orleans.

Their lives are crossed many times as the ill-fated lovers face off against a variety of different Marvel villains, Gambit uses his ability to charge objects with explosive energy, and Bella Donna her telekinesis. After praising the script, Seydoux went on to praise the role of Bella Donna Boudreaux itself, explaining that it would be a new foundation for her.

"I feel that in America people have more imagination," he continued. "I've been offered films that are very far from what I've been doing and I'm like, 'Oh. Interesting.' I love to feel that I can fit in. For me, it's very exotic."

Work on the film "Gambit" began in 2014, with "The Lost City" star Channing Tatum stepping in to star in the lead role. However, this film was never produced. Several directors have expressed interest, including Rupert Wyatt and Doug Liman, with Reid Carolin producing alongside Tatum.

However, a lot of things happened and the start went wrong. The film, which was originally meant to be an "X-Men" spin-off, was canceled in 2019.
