As the production of Fast X continues, the main star and producer of the franchise – Vin Diesel, took to his personal Instagram account to share some news. He confirmed that Oscar winner Rita Moreno has officially joined the tenth Fast & Furious film. In the video, Diesel and his co-star Michelle Rodriguez are seen warmly welcoming the legendary actress who will play Dominic Toretto's grandmother.
Moreno is sure to be one of the best additions to the franchise. He is one of 24 people in cinema history to be awarded Academy, Emmy, and Tony Awards for acting, with a Grammy Award above all else proving that he is truly a talented artist. Details and plot for Fast X are being kept under wraps at this time, although it is certain that the story will directly continue the story of last year's F9. But it is certain that the latest Fast & Furious film will take this unique “family” across the globe from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, and from secret bunkers in Azerbaijan to the busy streets of Tbilisi. Along the way, old friends will return, old enemies will also be present, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before.
After writing and directing F9, Justin Li is set to helm both parts of the franchise's final adventure. However, after a dispute, Lin left the director's chair, replaced by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk).

Moreno isn't the only big name to make his debut in the Fast and Furious franchise. After Captain Marvel star Brie Larson publicly campaigned her desire to be involved in the franchise, her wish came true when Vin Diesel recruited her for Fast X.
Aquaman star Jason Momoa has also joined to play the main villain in this tenth film, and lastly there is The Suicide Squad star, Daniela Melchior, who has also joined, most recently is Reacher star, Alan Ritchson. Since Fast X has a reported budget of around $300 million, it appears that the studio has budgeted quite a bit of money to recruit the stars.
Of course, the main cast from the franchise will also return. Likes Vin Diesel with other Fast and Furious alumni including Charlize Theron, Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, and Cardi B.
