5 Recommended Weekend Movies, Thor: Love and Thunder

1. Thor: Love and Thunder
Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth saga of Thor and is part of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After the events of Ragnarok (2017) and Endgame (2019), Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, now chooses to step aside from politics and government affairs in Asgard.
He chose to spend time in recovering from the many tragic events he faced. However, that effort is interrupted by the presence of an intergalactic assassin named Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale). Gorr the God Butcher is an alien who holds a grudge against the gods. His ambition is to explore the entire universe and kill all the gods.

Thor then enlists the help of Valkyrie, Korg (Taika Waititi), and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), his ex-girlfriend who has now turned into Mighty Thor.
In addition, the Guardians of the Galaxy cast will also appear in Thor: Love and Thunder. The sequel also features Russell Crowe as Zeus, the newest character to debut in the MCU. Thor: Love and Thunder will be available in theaters July 6th.
2. Incantation
A woman named Li Ruo-nan (Tsai Hsuan-yen) commits a reckless thing that is so taboo that her life with her daughter, Duo-duo (Huang Sing-ting) becomes cursed. Her lover and family died under mysterious circumstances so that she fell into depression.
Ruo-nan then decided to make a video containing his daily activities with Duo-duo with the aim that the public could watch and help him to release the curse. Incantation can be watched starting July 8 on Netflix.
3. Sing, Dance, Act: Kabuki featuring Toma Ikuta
In August 2021, actor Toma Ikuta tried his hand at Kabuki theater for the first time. He participated in the last session of the independent Kabuki stage series "Idomu (Challenge" led by Kabuki actor Matsuya Onoe. Ikuta and Onoe were classmates in high school and have been close friends ever since. During school, the two promised to appear together at on stage.
In this new experience, Ikuta will be a special guest in the kabuki story "Akado Suzunosuke" and will play Tatsumaki Rainoshin. This documentary will show Ikuta's struggles and challenges to learn new things and his friendship with Matsuya Onoe. Sing, Dance, Act: Kabuki featuring Toma Ikuta can be seen since June 16 on Netflix.
4. Girl in the Picture
The Netflix original documentary Girl in the Picture will explore the twisted story of a young woman who is found lying dead with a severe head injury on a side street in Oklahoma City in April 1990.
Shortly thereafter, he died after being taken to the hospital leaving behind a two year old son. The story in this documentary is set in 2002, when the investigation into this case only started or twelve years after the case occurred.

Having previously been tracked as Sharon Marshall, this woman is known to have a real identity named Suzanne Marie Sevakis, who has experienced various tragic events since her youth. Girl in the Picture can be watched since July 6 on Netflix.
5. Writing with Fire
Writing with Fite is a documentary that tells about Khabar Lahariya, an Indian newspaper run by women from the Dalit caste, the lowest caste that is often referred to as untouchable.
These women carry out journalistic reports with smartphones to cover news from the dangerous regions of India. They are willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of extracting the facts. Khabar Lahariya is led by Chief Reporter, Meera who works closely with her mentor Suneeta, a high-spirited crime reporter. This documentary tells the story as well as witnesses the intelligence and patience of journalists in dealing with important news in this era.
Set in a time in an increasingly divided world, Meera and her crew break through five years of tradition to get important facts from issues that are developing in India in defining the meaning of power. Writing with Fire can be watched since July 1 on KlikFilm.
