Actor Chris Evans Comments On Same-Sex Couple Kiss Scene In "Lightyear" Movie

Actor Chris Evans also commented on the kissing scene of a same-sex couple in the film Lightyear. Evans is frustrated that scenes like this are still a matter of debate. "I've been asked several times, (the scene) is fun, beautiful, and makes me happy," said Chris Evans during a conversation with Variety, Monday (13/6).

As reported by Reuters on Monday (13/6), one of the producers of Lightyear said the Chinese authorities asked for cutting scenes from the film. However, the Chinese request was rejected by Disney.

After that, Disney has not yet received an answer from China. Thus, the producer believes the Lightyear film will not be shown in China.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Film Censorship Institute (LSF) has yet to determine the fate of Lightyear's broadcast in Indonesia. LSF chairman Rommy Fibri Hardiyanto explained that his party reviewed the Lightyear film at Disney's request last May.

However, LSF has not been able to conduct a complete review because Disney has not sent the full Lightyear film material. "So, now the position of the ball is at Disney. LSF is just waiting from Disney (to be broadcast)," said Rommy.
